Hey, I'm Ben! The founder of State, I'm here to tell you a little bit about what we are about!
In the latter half of 2019, I started looking into the idea of self-improvement and personal development and trying to understand a bit more about the power of a positive attitude and the idea that 'you can do anything'.
So I took some action, I was inspired by other peoples success and philosophy and ideas that anyone can achieve greatness and that anything is possible for anyone who is willing to put in the work.
So I started by changing my mindset, I created a positive attitude for myself, started exercising regularly, changing the foods that I eat, thinking differently, believing that I could do things if just committed to them and just changed the way I looked at situations.
And it was life-changing, every situation and failure or fear became an opportunity in my eyes, it became an opportunity for me to learn, for me to grow, to get better and prove it to myself that I can do it.
I would listen to speeches and watch videos or podcasts or anything to give myself a push to get shit done or to achieve something or to remind me that you can do anything. Even past experiences I viewed negatively I started to look at in a new light.
Then I found this entire culture of people doing the same thing, whether it be changing their body through the gym, or wanting to fulfill their childhood dreams, people who wanted to get shit done, people who wanted to prove it to themselves and their doubters and wanted to show other people that you can do anything.
They all seemed to change their mindset and create a positive attitude so they could achieve these things, it was inspiring to think that so much was possible from an internal change.
It inspired me so much that I wanted to share it, so State Attire was born, a motivational clothing line to show people that everyone has greatness inside them
As Will Smith says
“If you're not making someone else's life better, then you're wasting your time. Your life will become better by making other lives better.”
